QLD: Beattie says up to police alone to decide Paff matter

Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE says he's satisfied police dealt satisfactorily with the
allegation that a One Nation MP had run a red light while trying to evade the media.

JACK PAFF, a former police officer, has been cleared of any traffic violations arising from
his unorthodox exit from Parliament House in Brisbane last month.

During the incident he appeared to veer across several lanes after apparently ignoring a
red light.

A police spokesman says television footage of the incident was examined and witnesses
