SYRACUSE - A Syracuse man who was driving drunk when he killed a 15-year-old Girl Scout delivering cookies was sentenced Monday to one to three years in prison - a punishment sharply criticized by the victim's family.
Onondaga County Judge Joseph Fahey said the law prevented him from imposing a longer sentence on Lawrence Mondore, who pleaded guilty last month to criminally negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated in the death of Brandi Woods on a Skaneateles road.
